This year I decided to take Christmas portraits for all of my friends as gifts.
Here is some of the progress I've made on this project so far with Brandon & Debi and my sister's family.
The night shots with Brandon & Debi are all pretty blurred, due to slow shutter speeds. (Note to self... Don't shoot portraits at night) Some of the ideas here are very cool and I'd like to go back and experiment with them. It's just difficult to sit perfectly still for those 15 second exposures.

I can't remember that wrong turn...
Do you ever feel like your life has turned upside down and inside out?
I haven't felt this lost in such a long time.
I'm having a hard time getting a grip on things as they are today. Many things have changed in and around my life recently and I've never been one prepared to accept change with open arms. I suppose nobody is ever prepared for change, it just happens. You'd think that being the only constant, we'd just expect it all the time. Yeah, You'd think.
This could be a gripe blog, but I don't think that I have it in me to break it down into a list of things that are bumming me out. I'm having a difficult time eating, sleeping and just focusing on things really. Let's just say that I've come to realize that things aren't working out the way I would have liked.
Every time I think about it these things, I'm flooded with frustrations.
Ugh.
I'll post some photos that I've taken in the last year that make me happy.

Parking Structure - Provo, UT
I keep coming back to this tree. I think that means something.
Aside from the subject matter, I love the exposure that I got here. Colors and detail... One of my best.
Maybe this means something.

We've Only Just Begun.
The first Pinata of Body Parts (with the new lineup) show was last Friday (2-23-07).
It went suprisingly well.
I messed up a lot, but I enjoyed my self.
I got very nervous. (It was my first show in 4 years)
I got sweaty.
I got embarrassed. (The strap fell off of my bass at one point, that sucked)
We played infront of about 200+ kids. It was intense!
The lights were so bright that you couldn't see past the edge of the stage.
I'll definatly have to move around more at our next show, hopefully be a little less nervous.
A bunch of my friends from Utah Valley came up(Megan, Erinn, Kelly, Jason, Gee, Kaime, Ren, Arianne) It was awesome to have some hometown support!
I'll include a couple of photos taken at the show by Karen(Jeff's gf).
This is the first of many shows to come. We're playing again in Ogden, UT this Friday (3-2-07) and are trying to set up another show before the months over. I really can't wait!
Ogden will be laid to waste.

Pinata of Body Parts Photo Shoot

I'm about to turn 24
Wow.
I'm getting kind of old.
I guess 24 isn't that old... Just kind of weird. It seems like someone around the age of 24 should seem like a full blown adlult... But I don't feel like that's me.
I work a semi-dead end full time job, I go to college part time in the evenings.
Definatly not what I pictured being 24 to be like?
Oh well... Although I get really busy with my life these days, I really couldn't ask for things to be any better.
I've got a champion girlfriend.
I get to play music in my band in the little free time that I have.
I get to go snowboarding from time to time with my brand new equipment (compliments of Megan).
I get to take photos with my 35mm film camera, I'm really enjoying that latley when I actually get the time to do it!
Megan has planned a fun getaway weekend at The Homestead Resort for us and a couple of our close friends. She's kind of amazing when it comes to birthdays! I'm very excited!
My band, Pinata of Body Parts... is playing it's first show next week (Friday, Feb 23rd).
I'm very excited!
I'm very nervous!
I'm nervous that our band isn't ready for a show, We don't get much time to practice.
Oh well though, It's happening whether we're ready or not.
Pinata is going to be unleashed.
I'm sure it'll be rather humerous to watch...
